can't see timer in emacs action

Hello,

I tried this code in emacs.
for i in range(3):
time.sleep(1)
print i

It shows the result but total result not second per second.

Any one experiance this problem

I don't know about emacs, but this works in PythoWin IDE.

import time
import sys
for i in range(20):
sys.stdout.write(str(i)+' ')
sys.stdout.flush()
time.sleep(1)
