Questions pending - please help

Hi,

I have asked two questions lately and have not received any answer yet, so I
wonder whether the questions are irrelevant, silly, already answered
for, ...., ?

Please allow me to summarize them:

1) How to I keep my BDB GUI frontend from stepping through all imported python
libraries when I debug my code ? I am currently ovewriting user_line and
user_return.

2) Is there a rule of thumb to follow when writing a c extention which will
ensure backward compatibility with earlier python versions: although I will
release the source of theses extentions, I cannot expect every customer to
own a compiler or know how to use it.

Regards,
Philippe
