pymat for python 2.3?

As far as I know, the current version of pymat (python to MATLAB
interface) is for Python 2.2. I tried installing it on Python 2.3 and
it fails. Does anyone know either

- whether there is going to be a pymat for python 2.3 soon, or
- how would I hack pymat.pyd to get it to try to work with python 2.3?

Thanks much,

How does it fail? What was the last Python it worked with?

Possibly one of the scientific lists would be more help to you
(the lists for Numeric, numarray and SciPy).
