Imagine I have a dict looking something like this: myDict = {"key 1": , "key 2": , "key 3": , "key 4": } That is, a set of keys which have a variable length list of associated values after them. What I want to do is filter out a subset of this dict to produce another dict that satisfies a set of criteria (in this case whether it contains all four values) to end up with something

Hi! In dictionaries, unlinke lists, it doesn't matter the order one inserts the contents, elements are stored using its own rules. Ex: >>> d = {3: 4, 1: 2} >>> d {1: 2, 3: 4}

If I have a collection of dicts like: john = {'id': 1, 'name': "John Cleese", 'year': 1939} graham = {'id': 2, 'name': "Graham Chapman", 'year': 1941} I could store all of them in a list. But for easy lookup, I might store all these in a dict instead, like people = {'1': john, '2': graham}

Python dict is a hash table, isn't it? I know that hashtable has the concept of "bucket size" and "min bucket count" stuff, and they should be configurable so I can set them to the proper value when I know how many items I'm going to handle. If these two values can't be set, the hashtable will give them default values. When there are more and more items being added to the hashtable, it increase its buckets and copy the old items into...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
