gnome/nautilus extensions ?

Hello

I'd like to create a new "nautilus extension" in python. I'd like to
make a "nautilus side panel" ... is anybody has an example ?
or just tell me where to find more info (google was not my friend on
this search)

I'm playing around with writing my own panel applets, and I'm trying to figure out how to get my panel applets to be restored when I log in. As an experiment, I'm using the simple clock applet that comes with PyGNOME (clock-applet.py). It works fine when I run it from the shell, but when I log out and log in again, there's just a tiny...

I love using Idle as my IDE for python on Windows. I've briefly tried some other IDE's, but the clean and simple nature of Idle keeps me coming back to it. Recently, I tried out Idle on Fedora. The lack of font selection, the lack of anti-aliasing, and the gaudiness of the widgets were a real disappointment. I wish I could have...

Hi, I'm trying to write a python script for Nautilus. To get the list of files selected in the Nautilus right pane, you use the $NAUTILUS_SCRIPT_SELECTED_FILE_PATHS environment variable which is normally available to the script. Actually, it works with bash scripts but not with python scripts import os files = os.environ.splitlines()

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
