IDLE & MySQLdb import error

I installed python 2.5 and used the win package for installing MySQLdb. (Iam running Windows XP)
Everything works as expected using python directly (Windows command shell) but using IDLE gives the import error below.
Same error with PythonWin as my IDE and everything works using python 2.4-- with IDLE and without, mySQLdb is loaded with out error.
Below is the IDLEscreen capture

Python 2.5 (r25:51908, Sep 19 2006, 09:52:17) [MSC v.1310 32 bit (Intel)] on win32
Type "copyright" , "credits" or "license()" for more information.

IDLE 1.2
>>import MySQLdb
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<pyshell#1 >", line 1, in <module>
import MySQLdb
File "C:\Python25\li b\site-packages\MySQLd b\__init__.py", line 19, in <module>
import _mysql
ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified procedure could not be found.
It seems that when using IDLE the _mysql package cannot be found although the path is the same as non-IDLE
python and help('modules') shows _mysql is an available.

Is this an IDLE or MySQLdb bug or some incorrect settign on my side

developing a daemon (using python 2.4 and mysqldb 1.2.1_p2) we notes that mysqldb class write on stderr some warnings and error asyncronously (uhmmm.... it's good written? ;P ). If stderr is closed these function raise up an I/O error (obviously). We spent a lot of time to understand for now we redirected stderr on /dev/null, but.. it's a workaround. Someone knows how stop write on stderr (and stdout) on mysqldb?

Hi all, I have a mac mini running maocosx 10.5 leopard I want to deploy a django project on. My backend is MySQL, and I have it running as a 64- bit app. Of course, apache2 is also running as 64-bit. MySQLdb installs with the usual warnings after applying the various patches I found here and there. These patches consist of altering _mysql.c and site.cfg.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
