Unsubscribing from the list

I need to unsubscribe from this list. I've mailed
us************* **@python.org but that did not unsubscribe me. I've
also gone to the list homepage and entered my user information, but
that just sent me a message that someone had tried to resubscribe this
username. What must one do to unsubscribe from python-list?

Thanks.

Hey, I wrote this program which should take the numbers entered and sort them out. It doesn¹t matter what order, if decreasing or increasing. I guess I'm confused in the sorting part. Anyone has any advices?? #include <iostream> using namespace std;

I'd like a code review if anyone has the time. The code implements a basic skip list library for generic use. I use the following header for debug macros: /* public.h - Public declarations and macros */ #ifndef PUBLIC #define PUBLIC

I came across the following code in the .NET Framework: ((IBindingList) list).ListChanged -= new ListChangedEventHandler(this.List_ListChanged); In other places, they hold onto a reference to the original event handler instance and unsubscribe that. I've always held the references and unsubscribed the original myself. Unsubscribing from a new instance instead of the original instance just

Do I need to unsubscribe from an object's event before I point the object variable to a new object? I have a method that subscribes an event handler to the ListChanged event of a list. The list is attached to a calendar, so every time a new date is selected, the list is recreated for the new date. The code then subscribes the event handler to the new list. Here's the cose (m_ListForSelectedDay is a member variable): private void...

Hey guys When you hook an event (c# 2.0 syntax): myEvent += MyMethodToFire; You need to also unsubscribe it to avoid a resource leak so that the object it is in gets garbage collected like so : myEvent -= MyMethodToFire; That's all fine, but when you use visual studio to create events for objects it never creates an unsubscribing reference, so is it puting in resource leaks? Or is this being cleared somewhere that i am not seeing?

Hi All, I do not know if this is the correct group to ask this question. But since mailman is python-based I thought i would ask here. I had subscribed to a mailing list called gtk-app-devel-list@gnome.org adventitiously. I then wanted to reverse my decision and so tried to unsubscribe from the mailing list. The web interface told that I had to enter my username and then click unsubscribe. I did so. I was responded with the message...

I was given code that was written for python 2.5, and uses simple functions like 'all' which are not present in 2.4 I want to make the code 2.4 compatible. What is the best way to do this? If I define function 'all', then won't I break 2.5 compatability? Thanks, Joseph

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
