py2exe install script problem

Hello,

I using py2exe for my script installing,and I have one problem about
it,actually the real problem is
tkinter window iconbitmap:

import Tkinter
root=Tkinter.Tk ()
root.iconbitmap ('myicon.ico') # I was try and with myicon.bmp
Then after I install myscript in .exe,and when I run it I got error in
some strange window:

window title: Error occurred
window message: See the logfile
'c:\Python24\Li b\site-packages\dist\m yscript.exe' for details

and tad and in that error "make" in install directory one log file, and
that file I run with notepad and
in that notepad file
write error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "myscript.p y", line 3, in ?
File "Tkinter.py c", line 1448, in wm_iconbitmap
_tkinter.TclErr or: bitmap "myicon.ico " not defined
Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Dear readers, py2exe has a problem including libxml2. Not at building time, but at runtime. The libxml2.dll cannot be loaded... Is there anyone that NOT has the problem? (and can you drop me your setup.py scipt, please). Thanks in advance, Rene O.

I need to be able to build Py2Exe from the source code as I am making a Windows executable where I wish to preprocess the modules before importing them.It looks like I can do this by adding lines to Load_Module() in py2exe's start.c. However problem I have is that I can't build Py2Exe using the instructions provided. Using the designated command of "python setup.py install" I get this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File...

I am new to Python and am trying to create a standalone exe from a python script using py2exe 0.5.0 and Python 2.3 without success. I am able to generate the appropriate .exe file but it is not executable. Running it does absolutely nothing. The sourceforge site says that wsvc6 is required for py2exe. Is this true? If so, it is contradiction with the python faq which claims that no C compiler is necessary with py2exe. I also tried...

Hi ! 1. Thanx for your answer in the theme of Unicode, and other things. 2. The problem: I need to create an application that not need Python libs to install. Py2Exe is good for that, but I need to copy the "dist" to the network drive what mapped readonly. This is a protection. So: in this time I have been use same applications, but they are created

Hi @all, I've implementet a simple setup script for my application with py2exe. The setup.py works fine, but now I want to add version resources to my *.exe-file. But how can I do it? I've tested it with the setup.cfg, but that doesn't work. I alwayse became the errormessage: error: error in setup.cfg: command 'py2exe' has no such option 'version_legalcopyright' until I've deleted all options.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
