SimpleXMLServer meets inetd

Hi!

I was thinking about connecting SimpleXMLRPCSer ver with inetd.. but I
haven't been able to replace the socket by sys.stdin and sys.stdout. Maybe
socket.fromfd(s ys.stdin.fileno ()) could help me, but I can't get it to
work, I always get connection refused. Any ideas?

greets,
Marek

I know this will probably sound weird to many of you, but I'm currently writing an NNTP server in PHP (using MySQL as the article storage). At the moment, the server is a single client handling script which is called by inetd/tcpd and uses stdin/stdout. I have read that in C, the usual function calls to get peer name et cetera will work on...

Hi all! I looked around a lot, but I didn't find a solution. I have to write an simple server application to do some jobs and return a result to a client. I tried SocketServer and this works really fine. But I didn't manage to get a script working that is started by inetd. So far I read about that I could use stdin and stdout for...

Hi, I'm sure this isn't a hard one, can someone help? I'm adding a new record to a MySQL database every x seconds. I need to be able to inspect the content of a certain field in this incoming record and, when a condition is met, send an email. I suppose I could have some script inspect the latest record every x seconds and use...

How can I color-- or if easier add some simple icon--to a particular tab (say tab 2 of 5 in the tab control) if a field on tab 2 meets some generic criteria like salary field is > 50000. I'm trying to give the operator a visual cue...

I'm trying to write a daemon in C that runs under (x)inetd that communicates over UDP. I'm trying to write a simple DNS server that returns the same IP for every query it receives. Things work just fine reading the request, but when I try to write(2) the response, it returns -1 with errno 89: "Destination address required". This seems to...

Hi, I have a list and I want to find the first element that meets a condition. I do not want to use 'filter', because I want to come out of the iteration as soon as the first element is found. I have implemented it this way, may be, there should be a built in hiding somewhere in the standard libraries? def exists(iterable, condition): '''...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
