How to send browser to open a different URL

Sorry to go back to back so fast but how does one send a web browser to
a different url than the one the user is already at? In script2 (which
is doing the authenticating) , if the user fails authentication i want
to send him back to the one he was at before.

>> When I open a second browser window from the first, it uses the same session with first!!! > This is not true. session_id is unique for each combination of browser/url. I believe this too, but you can see: 1. try http://tassadar.physics.auth.gr/~chameleon/Books/ 2. right-click in one menu link and "open in new window". 3. in 2nd browser window click greek flag 4. in 1st browser window click "Programming" everything in 1st browser...

Question for the group The authentication system for the site Im working on seems to function properly and all is good. A session keeps track of everything and a cookie is used to accept or deny access... sounds as it should be I hope. Then when all is done logging out destroys everything and the pages are no longer accessable. Good so far. But two things come to mind: one is preventing multiple logins of the user/password. The...

Hello, If you point your browser to this page, http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/vnc-tight/tightvnc-1.2.9_x86_viewer.zip?use_mirror=umn the server sends you the HTML page, and very soon afterwards, you are prompted to do a 'Save-As' for a file to download. How do they do that without the classic "Headers already sent" error?

Hi, I'm trying to send a file to the browser with Response.Write, and it works great. The problem (I guess...) is that the code that sends the file is in a class, and whan I load aspx file using the downloading method, I have the request for file saving in my browser (and I can save the file), but the aspx's content isn't loaded...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
