Pythonwin crashes on step debugging in queue.py

(I've not found a solution to this anywhere else, so..) With a simple
one line file:

print "Hello world"

if you use pythonwin debugging to step through one line at a time, it
crashes pythonwin at line 157 of queue.py. Running the file on it's
own, of course, works fine.

Anyone else found the same problem/come up with a solution/etc? It's
hardly major, since my print line in the actual code is only for
debugging, but it's frustrating nevertheless!

(using win 2000, pythonwin build 163 and python 2.3.3).

I installed a recent win32all including PythonWin IDE on a PC with W2K. I want to debug a program (say Test.py) which calls into another module (say TestModule.py). In the debugger if I step into a function defined in TestModule.py there is no highlighting of the currently debugged sourde code line. Even if I load TestModule.py in advance. This only happens if there are upper case letters in the module name.

Does anyone else have a problem with Pythonwin crashing after running a python script with graphics libraries? Whenever I use Pythonwin to run a PyGame or PyOgre script, Pythonwin crashes when the script exits. I know it's probably because the Pythonwin interpreter can't read from the console once the graphics mode has been changed, but has anyone discovered a workaround? I'd like to know if this problem is specific to my machine, or if...

There is a strange freeze/crash only on dual core machines: I have a python app (Python 2.3.5 /Pythonwin build 203 / Windows) running with no stability problems on normal machines (Or a crash is so rare, that absolutely nobody obverses it, though the overall majority of users uses single core machines). Threads, network & pythonwin/win32ui all in use. Yet, from 3 users, _all_ using a Dual Processor System (XEON, amd x2 3800+)...

Hi, I've installed Python 2.5 and PythonWin (pywin32-210.win32-py2.5) on my new XP machine. The first time I run PythonWin after installation it runs normally but if I close it and try to run it again it crashes ("PyWin32 has encountered a problem and needs to close") every time. If I re-install it then it will run once more but subsequent runs fail. I've installed and ran this before (on my old machine and at work) and it runs ok.

Visual Studio 2008 (90 day trial, team suite edition) crashes with "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 has encountered a problem and needs to close...." message when I try to create a new wpf application project. Also, loading an existing wpf project (the "hittest3d" demo) works, but the program terminates when the system tries to display the test project main window (ie. step into the program, debugging just stops at new window1()). Possibly...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
