Are these two features available in VS.Net 2003 at all (maybe different keys)... F4 to go thru find-in-files search results (just like you F4 to go thru build errors). In VC6, if output window was set to look at find results, F4 would go thru those, and only go thru build errors if build output was shown. In VS.Net, F4 seems to ALWAYS apply to build errors, and there does not seem to be any easy way to go thru found results other than...

Hi all, This is not so much a question specific to PostgreSQL, but rather a general "application of theory" type of problem! I did post this on comp.databases.theory but received no replies there. If anyone here is interested and this is a suitable forum in the PostgreSQL hierarchy, that would be great! If this is not a good group, please point me in the right direction.

Let's say I have a column whose values are all 2-digit integers, e.g. 82 (though it's actually a varchar field). From now on, the column will be able to have 2-digit as well as 3-digit integers. In the application that uses these values, a value of the format x0y is considered to be the same as xy. E.g. values 82 and 802 are considered to be the same, 45 and 405 are considered to be the same, etc. Both formats still have to be...

Hello, I am unable to get on many of the postgresql mailing lists. I usually get this message back with no attachment and no email comes afterwards with a confirmation. I've tried this over and over on multiple lists. After a while I was able to get on pgsql-admin...but it took a few tries. It's been a couple days now, so I'm assuming majordomo has had time to process my request.

Hello, All! I'm implementing simple CLI (flat model, no tree-style menu etc.). Command line looks like this: <command> <param1> <param2> ... <paramN> (where N=1..4) And idea is pretty simple: 1) get whole string of input line 2) preset table of strings matching <command> 3) preset table of function calls

I am using the subprocess module to run some shell commands on a Linux system: import subprocess output = subprocess.call('''ssh server1 "uptime"''', shell=True) The above assigns the output variable with a return code, i.e. 0 in this case. How can I actually capture the data returned from subprocess.call, rather than just the return code? I'd like to have the output variable contain the uptime string in this case. Any help

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
