simple webserver embedded app recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations for something to base a simple web serving
app on. I want to make a simple user interface to do control/monitoring of
for an embedded application. I'm looking for a builtin python-based
webserver, and a minimal learning curve. Any suggestions?

Have a look at CherryPy (currently being rewritten for version 2),
Karrigell and Snakelets (all on sourceforge, I think)

Hi there Out of curiosity .... Long time ago I was working with Infomix (now IBM) Universal Server, that had a data type 'html' implemented as data blade. Through data blades you could extend the sql engine with your own data types. Can't remember exactly how it worked but you could store html with embedded 'sql code' in the database.

I'm trying to build a fairly small (max. 10 different pages) site using php, and it's becoming obvious that I need some kind of model view separation. Having done a few searches, I've come across the concept of 'template engines', but that seems like overkill for my needs. I'm thinking I'll just stick with php as my template language; a...

first time I post/ask something in this group here's the problem I use ASP / VBScript (we only use MS licenses) when I make some changes in a asp page and then want to see the changes I've made : in 99% of the cases nothing happens has to do with the webserver cache refresh - says our webmaster I searched on the internet and found these...

Hi, I tried posting this in a different thread a week ago but only received one response so I will try again here. I am writing the code for a program that will run on an embedded PXA255 running Windows CE 4.2. At first I was planning on using C# with the compact frame work but the more I learn about the project, the less comfortable I...

I need to develop a PHP framework for an online catalog that will be informational only (not e-commerce, per se). No prices will be listed, nor will the website be a point of transaction. Therefore, the database architecture is relatively simple. However, like an e-commerce site, I still need standard features like a consistent layout and...

I'm currently starting my first asp.net 2.0 app, and doing so on my current webhotel proved to be somewhat of a challenge. First I thought I had a problem with references, since it gave an error when I added LuaInterface.dll and tried using it: "CS0246: The type or namespace name 'LuaInterface' could not be found (are you missing a using...

Does Python 2.5.2's embedded SQLite support full text searching? Any recommendations on a source where one can find out which SQLite features are enabled/disabled in each release of Python? I'm trying to figure out what's available in 2.5.2 as well as what to expect in 2.6 and 3.0. Thank you, Malcolm

Does Python 2.5.2's embedded SQLite support full text searching? Sqlite itself is not distributed with python. Only a python db api compliant wrapper is part of the python stdlib and as such it is completely independent of the sqlite build. In other words, if your sqlite build supports full text searching you can use it through the python...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
