Acess to PostgreSQL database from Pyhton

Excuse my ignorance of this subject since I don't know Python well
enough. I would like to know if it's possible to access PostgreSQL
(running on Lunux) from Python scripts using TDB (or TBD?). I saw that
there are ways to do this but I need to do it via TDB. Since I don't
know what TDB is I thought it's best to ask around before investing
considerable time to get proficient in this. Any experiences out

What is TDB?
Since I don't know what TDB is
Que? What's the source of this requirement? And why can't (s)he at least
explain what this thing is that you need to use?

Have you considered Googling before requesting considerable time
investments? :-) Google for "Python" on www.postgresql.org and for
"PostgreSQL " on www.python.org and you get:

Yes, I know you've seen the above subject before, so please be gentle with the flamethrowers. I'm preparing to enter a discussion with management at my company regarding going forward as either a MySql shop or a Postgresql shop. It's my opinion that we should be using PG, because of the full ACID support, and the license involved. A consultant my company hired before bringing me in is pushing hard for MySql, citing speed and community...

Hi, I am starting a new project where I intend to use embedded database server in my win32 application. I intend to use VC++ microsoft studio 6.0 as my development environment. The postgres.org website seems to be catering for people with all sorts of requirements and platforms.

Hi all, Following up on another thread, here is a comparison between FB and PG from an FB'ers POV. BTW, FB is the love-child of Open-Source-Interbase. BTW, I have tried to be as accurate as I can with the information available to me at this point in time - I was unable to find anything resembling a feature list on the FB site, so most of this is from memory. I do have an email account on the various lists on that site, and I will post...

For ease of configuration and other reasons, I would like for my single-user GUI app to be able to use postgresql in-process as a library accessing a database created in the users home directory. I think I could possibly get what I want by launching a captive copy of postmaster with appropriate args but it seems conceptually cleaner to not have a seperate process at all. Has anyone tried to do anything like this? I've looked at sqlite...

Hi My box: RedHat 9.0, Pentium III Recently I upgraded from PostgreSQL 7.3.2 to PostgreSQL 7.4.1. The PostgreSQL 7.3.2's rpms were installed from RehHat CDs The PostgreSQL 7.4.1's rpms I used to upgrade were downloaded from RHEL3 subdirectory (of the mirror ftp://ftp4.ar.postgresql.org/pub/mirrors/postgresql/binary/v7.4.1/redhat/rhel3). The upgrade is working well, even I can connect to PostgreSQL from a PHP

If I bought one of these boxes/OS combos as a postgresql database server, would postgresql be able to make the best use of it with a huge (e.g. 40GB) database? Box: HP ProLiant DL585, with 4 AMD64 CPUs and 64GB of RAM. (other vendor options also exist) OS: SUSE enterprise 8 linux for AMD (links to product info at bottom)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
