Not at all, unless the PSU is trying to ensure that residents of northern
Virginia area prefer to avoid the roads from now on. (What am I thinking?!?
Residents in the northern Virginia area would prefer to avoid the roads at
all times, given the traffic around here.)

I'm using C# to build an application. 1) I have two windows forms, A and B. 2) A uses a DataSet read from SQL server. 3) The user presses a button on A to open B. 4) B is passed a pointer to the DataSet. 5) While in B, tables in the Dataset are bound to combo box controls. 6) While in B, I add handlers to capture the SelectedIndexChanged event

I have need to move data from a computer on one network to a computer on a different network. For various reasons, I am not allowed to join these networks. Additionally, neither computer is allowed to disconnect from its network to connect to the other network I have decided to use a USB jump drive to move the...

I am trying to create licensing functionality in a .NET application. When the software is licensed then I want it to store this fact somewhere on the user's computer, this way the next time the program is run it will know it is licensed. Does windows provide a secure store for applications to put data such as this? It seems to me that windows could easily provide a store class that would store data in an os protected location...

Hi I have a library mde that is used with some customer databases and I found out that another developer discovered it while doing some maintenance work on an old database for the same customer and has copied it to use with her databases. Naturally, I was not impressed and that story continues. It was not the customers fault. I assume she took a copy of the original code from the customers database and is working out how to use the...

I have a form that has lots of sub forms on it. The user shouldn't be editing the information that isn't part of the sub forms, and the fields are locked... but when a user presses return/enter - access seemingly progresses onto the next record for the parent form (and at the end it just goes to create a new record). How can I stop access from going to the next record when they press enter? Thanks.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
