How to find duplicate points(poi) in an area by creating a radius for each points and

How to find duplicate points(poi) in an area by creating a radius for each points and compared with another points which resides in the radius, for every points it has to be follow the same method?

Use the Pythagorean theorem a^2 + b^2 = c^2 to calculate the distance between the two points to see if the distance is less than the chosen radius.
