Running two different versions of PostgreSQL

Hi all,

I'm wondering if someone could explain how can I run two different versions of Postgres (8.2 and 8.3) on the same server machine, point any websites or resources that discuss such problem. I've googled for more than two hours and could not find anything well explained.
Thank you.

But what the problem is? Isn't enough to change the port the second server listen to?
