Partitioning database in Postgres

13
Dear all,
I have some problems regarding postgresql. I have installed Postgresql server 7.2.4 and since the database size is growing day by day, I want to partition the database. I have gone under some documents but still get it. So, can anyone help me how to partition database in postgresql by example and which version it supports?

Thanks,
Sagar

Sagar, the 7.2 version is obsolete, it is very old, it is not supported, it is buggy... - you should consider upgrading to a later version.

As for your question Postgresql supports table partitioning, but then again - I don't think this feature is available with 7.2.
