Select For Update

P: 1
If some select statement has selected a single row with update lock in a transaction and there are more than one transactions running same query for same row with update lock then they are blocked until the first transaction gets completed. Now if i completes the first transaction then how the waiting two transactions will proceed. As i have observed both proceeds simultaneously to the next statements which should not be there. Could you ppl comment on this

Moving from PostgreSQL Articles to PostgreSQL Forum.
Please be careful as to where you place your future postings.

Frankly, I don't understand the question.
What do you mean by "... next statements which should not be there"?
It might help if you elaborate on this and perhaps provide some examples.
