pg_dump Failure

P: 1
Am running Postgres 8.2.3 on windows XP SP2. When I run the query :
pg_dump "myDatabase" > C:\myDump.sql from pgAdmin, I get the following error message.

ERROR: syntax error at or near "pg_dump"
SQL state: 42601
Character: 1

Am of the opinion that my pg_dump syntax is correct. Any suggestion is highly welcom.

pg_dump is not an SQL command, it is a stand-alone utility, and you cannot run it from SQL query. Follow the link for more information.
