Current time inside Transactions

Hi,

Is there is a way to get the real curren_time inside a transaction (not
the time when the transaction stated)

TIP 2: you can get off all lists at once with the unregister command

SELECT timeofday();

Note that this returns a text-type (for historical reasons apparently)
