postmaster segfault with tsearch2?

Help!
Postmaster is segfaulting i think.
I am running RH_AS_3beta, postgresql 7.3.4 compiled from postgresql-7.3.
4-1PGDG.src.rpm on ia64 arch.

Tsearch2 compiled from tsearch-v2-stable.tar.gz

I have no idea how to fix it, all help gratefully received!

Potentially useful output below:

test# SELECT 'Our first string used today'::tsvector;
tsvector
---------------------------------------
'Our' 'used' 'first' 'today' 'string'
(1 row)

test=# SELECT to_tsvector( 'default', 'this is many words' );
server closed the connection unexpectedly
This probably means the server terminated abnormally
before or while processing the request.
The connection to the server was lost. Attempting reset: Failed.

This is the same bug recently solved by Nigel Andrews. See his patch
just posted in pgsql-patches.
