autodoc and debian

C G
Dear All,

I have been using postgresql-autodoc with great results, however, recently I
have been getting a "segmentati on fault" when using it.

I contacted the author of autodoc, who said that it appears to be a debian
problem (other debian users have experienced the same problems). However,
since it is strictly a debian problem, he couldn't help - which is fair
enough.

My question, has anyone been able to overcome these debian problems?

Many thanks

Colin

Whenever I run python I get "Warning! you are running an untested version of Python." prepended to the start of any output on stdout. This is with Debian and python 2.3 (running the debian 2.1 and 2.2 binaries doesn't have this effect) Does anyone have any idea how to stop this or have even seen it before?

Debian packages of 7.4 have been uploaded to Debian's experimental archive. Because of certain issues with interlocking dependencies, I will not move them to unstable until version 7.3.4-9 is accepted into the testing distribution. This is not a reflection on 7.4's quality but the result of a long-standing blockage in the movement of packages into testing caused by the perl packages. Unfortunately, this means that 7.4 packages won't get...

Hi all, I'm trying to install wxPython on Debian using 'apt-get install python-wxgtk2.4.' I've got both Python 2.3 and 2.4 installed with 2.4 set as my default. For whatever reason, wxPython always installs under /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages. Does anyone know how I can force it to install in 2.4's site-packages directory?

Hi all, I know that this is something for which I could (keep) STFW, but I'm mostly ignorant of the subject area and under a bit of a deadline. So I hope people won't mind if I truncate my search and ask here. I've tried solo and failed a few times to install various Linux distros on Intel x86 laptops. (The software modem was always the sticking point.) A recent acquaintance has volunteered to guide me through an install tomorrow....

I am trying to install oracle 9i on debian. The oracle 9i linux installation manual provides a checklist of pre-installation changes that have to be made to linux before installing oracle. I am new to debian - I have used red hat and sun solaris before. The oracle manual describes how to make permanent changes to linux - for instance, how to set shmmax. The manual refers to unix directories that either don't exist or in a differnet...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
