Numeric type

Hi,

does specifiying the precision and the scale of a
numeric type increases the speed of calculations on a
column of that type ???
(I read the docs : nothing mentioed about that.)

No. It makes no difference when reading the column, and adds a small
overhead (for enforcing the restriction) when writing it.
