IPv6 data type

an IPv6 data type is on the todo list, but it looks like it's been there a
while.

is there any work being done on this, and is there an ETA? i have a project
that could use it, but if it wasn't coming soon (say in 7.4), i can work
around it. it'd just be nice and all that.

[Please don't reply to an unrelated email when starting a new topic, it
breaks the threading.]

What you're looking for is the \copy command in psql of the COPY command in
the backend.

Hope this helps,
