Hi!

Can you please name some Wiki engines that run on Linux and are based

I've been trying to setup a collaboration site, ideally I need forum+wiki+blog integrated functionality access control. Specificly either the wiki or blog need to be over viewable to members of certain groups. I'm used to phpBB for forum software and it seems to have nice support for PostGreSQL. I tried out about 4 wikis last night, most had extreme bugs when using their PostGreSQL code instead of the defauly MySQL. Anyone have any...

Hello MySQL has information about several storage engines. MEMORY to handle temporary tables, InnoDB to handle transactions and which also can split its table data over several files/partitions. Splitting of storage is something which according to the following article, PostgreSQL does not support: http://www.devx.com/dbzone/Article/20743

I'm planning to wite a fully featured wiki in Python in one of frameworks. I've seen some notes about wiki/documentation management scripts that use SVN as a data storage/versioning. I've been using SVN a bit but I don't know if it's a good idea to use it in a wiki engine. Pro: versioning / diffs, Cons: you need your own svn/cvs repository, can pyLucene or Xapwrap index this?

Some basic research has indicated both Postgresql and Mysql as the best of lot. Can people please advise as to pros/cons...

Hi all, I am trying to get rid of a few of my old MS Access applications and move them to PostgreSQL and Python/wxpython. Does anyone have any suggestions on the easiest way to learn to program small database applications with python & wxpython? Does anyone have a few small examples at least? I will mainly need forms with/without subforms for viewing and inserting data into the database. Nothing too complicated to get

Hi, I'm going to work on an application that uses a postgreSQL database so that it can uses SQLServer 2005. I think I solved most problems on the programming side, but I still have some doubts on the DB side regarding how to handle the creation of the db schema on sqlserver and how to handle the every day dba work. 1) should I try to use an ER tool like Embarcadero and have its logical model be the master copy ? (i did some tests, it...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
