The development of PHP started in 1994 and previously, it was called “Personal Home Page Tools’. Later on, PHP becomes a recursive acronym for Hypertext Processor. 6. A lot of PHP resources are available on the Web that helps an end user to understand PHP and modify the existing code with minimum efforts.
7. It supports various platforms and operating systems.

Drawbacks of PHP
1. PHP is loosely typed as compared to other high-end languages like Ruby On Rails, Java, and JavaScript.
2. Web-based Programming in PHP still have security loopholes, however, its manufacturer organization is working upon it to plug all holes in future editions.
3. Java has better support for Object Oriented Programming than PHP.
4.Java has better Integrated Development Environments than that are available in PHP.
