MySQL Databse - Fast teaching needed

P: n/a
Alright, I'll get to the point. I'm totally new to MySQL databases and
PHP, but I can make nice webpages none the less. Basically, I need to
learn how to create a webpage that searches a MySQL database in
different fields and displays the results on another page. The end
product will be a compendium of different game items with different
defense ratings in 8 different damage types, and there are also ~8
different types of items the player can search. A perfect example is
this: http://josh.flagrancy.net/forsaken/armor/ -If anyone could point
me to detailed instruction on how to go about creating a searchable
database such as this(In any language, I just need it fast), or could
show me a transferrable pre-written database similar to this one, I'd
greatly appreciate it!
