Addinng data to second optionlist based on first optionlist ID

I have two dropdown lists.1)country 2)cities.when i select any option in country option list the corresponding cities list is appearing.I want add city through input type(manually).If i enter the city name in the input box it has to appear in the cities list.How can i achieve this??

How to do this totally depend on your code.

Is the list of countries and cities stored in a database?
if so, add the newly added city to your database.

If the list of countries and cities is hard coded in your app, than .... (i'm out of an option for that one ;)
