which is better php or java feture growth ?

iam a fresher.i am learning php ,but i am confused which is better php or java.my frinds are learning java and frinds says not growth in php.i am not lern in java.

IMHO - Learn both!
There are plenty of applications out there that use one or the other.... and each has their strengths...

Absolutely JavaScript vs. Java I should have read the article a tad closer (it was quite late in the evening) - I did say it was a "bird's eyeview" :).

However, even if the relationship just as cousins between the two JAVA languages, would you not agree that there is value in learning both PHP and some version of JAVA?

which could be said for pretty much every major language.
