PHP5 - GIF and TTF support

P: n/a
I'm writing text on a GIF with a custom TTF font on my dev server
(Apache/PHP4 with bundled GD). It works nice.

On the production serveur (Mandrake: Apache2/PHP5) error happens : Call to
undefined function imagettfbbox()
Is there a special trick or release to be abble to use GIF r/w support and
True Type Font support too ?

Thanks for any hints, i cant find a way out without rewriting all the code
right now :(

Have a look back at your ./configure output - did PHP see the FreeType
library? Do you have FreeType installed? This is required to use TTF fonts on
*nix systems.
