Parsed html but not php or coldfusion

Hi I have a website in which few pages are in php and few in coldfusion.
Issue is that once in a while it does not parse php in the sense let say i have a file xyz.php. I write www.mydomain.com/xyz.php browser keeps on loading and then gives 404 after few mins, however if I use www.mydomain.com/abc.html it shows me the output.

Not sure why it happens only sometimes. Liken once in 4-5 days.

You should check for errors in you logfiles.
If there are no errors mentioned, turn error logging on (at least temporarily, until you find the cause)
