Passing variables between PHP and ASP on the same page

258 100+
Hi everyone
I'm editing a CCTV website which is built with ASP. But unfortunately I have no experience in ASP.

My question is if it's possible to have both ASP and PHP on the same page and pass variables between them?

Thanks / Behzad

First make sure your HTTP server can handle both php and asp, if so, it does not matter what page or server you are requesting

Thank you johny for the reply. How about passing variables between them?

If you need to pass GET variables, it can be done using a standard query string...
For example calling a "mypage.aspx?var=value" from php and on the mypage.aspx just proccess the response variable.

It is also true if you want to do it all on server side, with PHP you use curl().

ASP and PHP on the SAME page??

Define "page" .. are you speaking about the file on the Server to be called by the browser?

As the Webserver will run the called file using the defined interpreter for the file extension (.php >> PHP etc.) you are not able to "mix" languages in one file.

If there is an .asp File to be edited you need to use the ASP Language, as vice versa for PHP
