giant database vs mysql

ours is a very large database of 3GB in an excell file in which 400 MB added every year in excell format.i want to know if mysql will ever support such a large amount of database?kindly help as i am not an expert in php/msql technology

1) Excel is not a database system.
2) MySQL is a database system.
3) MySQL has no size limit in of itself. It is limited only by the computer architecture.
