Which php e commerce programme is best for develop a website like eBay?

I am a php developer, recently i had requirement to develop a website like e-bay. So i am confused that which php programme is better to use this. I am comfortable in os commerce. Is that possible to develop in os commerce. When the database is grows in the future, do you think that os commerce development is not adequate? Please give me a suggestion. I heard Magento can handle these type of big projects.

eBay is too huge for even a single expert developer to take on.

You can start with a small shopping cart e-commerce site. osCommerce could help. Even then you should get some guidance and do months of research to build a really secure site. You do not want to be responsible for security hole that will lead to customer data loss.

You're looking for an easy quick solution, but to do something like this, in my opinion, you should already know how to do from scratch without any framework. Use a framework to save time, not to fill holes in your knowledge.
