The first bug that I found was
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=29588 which
means that if a custom error handler is called from within an object the
$errcontext argument should contain details of the current object, as it
does with PHP 4. I have a workaround, but it is not elegant.
I also found bug
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=29681 which causes Apache to
crash when testing 5.1.0. Until this is fixed I cannot use it.
According to the PHP 5 bug statistics page at
http://bugs.php.net/bugstats.php?phpver=5 there are over 350 outstanding
bugs (compared with 669 for PHP 4), but if your code does not hit any of
these problems then I guess you would be OK.

personally I would wait for 5.0.3 or even 5.1.0
I have two development machines, one running PHP 4 and the other PHP
5, and I have arranged that my code can run on either, so I do have
some experience of the matter.
And what was exactly the experience which led you to that conclusion? I'm
gradually switching to PHP5, and would like to know what are its biggest
problems in production-level environments.
