How to split the page from php

Hi All,

I need some advice on how to split a page where a top section, something
like a banner stays stationery, and the rest can be scrolled. Normally this
would be done using framesets, two frames would do the job.

Unfortunately since all the code is generated from PHP I would need to
assign separate scripts to each frame, and this is what I am trying to avoid
if possible.

I like to return a html page and have it split. Also it should be compatible
with the common browsers.

If not, is it possible to generate and return the content of a frameset in
one go or the frames have to be returned separately?

TIA,

Tom

Please stop top posting.

& if you can't use scrolling DIV, try IFRAME.

you don't need separate scripts for separate frames/output!
just pass a param
somepage.php?page=whatever

then in your script output appropriately

if ( $_GET['page'] == 'whatever' )
....
elseif ( )
...
