SSH nightmare

I've never used SSH before but i know the programmer that designed my website uses it. I've logged in and it's very similiar to ms-dos. Problem i'm having is how in the HELL do you upload and download files for edit?!??!?! NO IDEA!!!! Also what is the best EASY TO USE INTERFACE software?!?!? Prefer something like WS_FTP

Try FileZilla. It's a FTP client that supports the SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). I also sometimes use the FireFTP Firefox addon on machines I can't/won't install a proper client.

SSH is basically just a remote Unix terminal. It gives you command-line access to a remote Unix computer. Very handy for server administration, and such tasks. SFTP is built on that.
