php and oracle on apache

when i uncomment the extension of GD in php.ini, after saving the file, when i restart the apache server it will crashes...

please help me in regarding this..

Hey.

We are going to need to know a bit more about what is happening. Simply stating "It's broken!" doesn't really tell us much.

Are you getting any error messages?
Have you made gone through the Requirements page, and followed the Installation instructions in the manual?

It would also be helpful to know more about your server.
What OS are you running?
How did you install Apache and PHP? (A package installer? Manually compiled? etc...)

Is there anything else that would be useful in debugging this?

P.S.
Also, what's with the title? How does Oracle factor into this equation?

You might have the wrong gd extension loaded or it doesn't exist.

The case where the extension doesn't exist should just throw an non-fatal error I believe.

And as Atli stated, you'll need to provide information on the OS, PHP version, etc.

I'm equally confused about your post title...
