anyone read these books?

i have my eye on these 2 books:
Learning PHP, MySQL, and javascript: A Step-By-Step Guide to Creating Dynamic Websites (Animal Guide)

and

Beginning PHP 5.3 (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) (Paperback)

the first one seems to have some decent reviews and touches on 2 other subjects i prob will get into later but the 2nd one seems to be newer. Anyone read them or heard anything good/bad about them? As you can see from the book selection i am starting out on php.

the only PHP book I ever touched is

“PHP 5 Power Programming”* (Andi Gutmans, Stig Sæther Bakken and Derick Rethans; 2004)

as the title indicates, it is aimed at the more advanced programmer and focuses mainly on PHP 5’s new features.
