Mail Box

hi,

I am newbie to PHP.. I am using XAMPP software in WindowsXP (WAMP).. I have to create mailbox for sending and receiving mails using PHP..I should create inbox,sent item for each user.. I dont have any idea..I am hopeless..Please explain me basic concepts for creating mailbox..If could, kindly send me any materials or articles related to my problem and suggest me a book for learning PHP.. kindly explain me IMAP..whether i have to install any other special software for this purpose ? what i have to learn and how to do this task ? Please help me..

I'm curious, Why are you trying to make a mail server with PHP?

download hMail Server for windows and get on with your life.

This isn't a task for someone new to PHP, and programming in general. But if you want to climb and fight this uphill battle:
