x and y for items on the websit

hi
I create a set of itemes such as textbox,chck box and so on
based on conditon that happend on site
I want to find x and y for textbox or the other items without using of div tags or layers
can I do this work?
if the answer is no ? because items is based on conditions how do I put them in the layer and How recycle x and y for them ?I want to use x and y for else calculations

Im not quite sure what you mean. Are you wanting to store co-ordinates of textareas, checkboxes, etc and load those variables into the style sheet for display?

Or are you meaning change the height and width? If you mean coordinates, then I am guessing a combination of javascript and css (position: absolute;). I suggest using PHP to define your exact location or the textbox and then output that in your css if possible and then you can do your calculations. You can't get coordinates (for example using javascript) and give that to PHP unless it was done using get variables and refreshing the page (or some other tricky methods).
