how to put checks on dates

can any one plz tell me how to validate dates,i mean put some cheks on
list box using javascrip.
for example i want there should be 31 days in january and must be 28
if the month selected in february

A question concerning Javascript might be better suited for a group

if you do not have a special newsreader.

If you have access to server side php script and know how to use it,
validation often is best done using php, because it can not be turned
off or modified on the viewing browser as can be done when using
Javascript.

you could use an array of months and their max values, use the month
as the key?

PHP:

checkdate($month,$day,$year)

Returns true if it is a valid date.
