How can the user select multiple files from a folder?

P: 200
I have a form in which I want the user to select multiple files from a folder then I want to take the name of these and create a xml file (which is a playlist of songs for a player in my main page). I could think of a upload button (though the files are already in the folder of the server so no need to upload them again). The thing is that the user already has FTP access to the folder and can upload any file he wants, now I have to find a way to choose some of the files in order for me to create the xml file. Is there a command in PHP for selecting all the filenames in a folder or something like that?

You could use glob() to find all the files in a folder, assuming that these files are on the server and not the client's machine.
