MySql killing me!!!

mysqld-nt.exe freezes my windows xp 'server'. It's locked for about 1 to 5
seconds. I've had it installed for a couple of years and have never had any
problems. Is there some mainenance I need to do to it? What could have
changed? The website it's serving requires very little data and the site
only had moderate traffic and is rarely bothered with multiple, simultaneous
hits.

Any ideas are much appriciated!

BTW, mysql 4.1.13a-nt via tcp/ip

So, what does this have to do with PHP?

I would try a reinstall, then if not ask on comp.databases.mysql newsgroup.

Good luck,
