Installing BBCode Extension for Windows

I already posted this message, but it didn't work or something. So if
this is a duplicate, ignore it.

I just can't figure out how to install this extension. From what I
understand, there needs to be a .dll file located in the extensions
folder in the php root directory, and there needs to be a line in the
php.ini file that is uncommented that loads the .dll extension. But
which .dll is it? Is it already in that folder, or do I need to
download it separately? Or what?

bbcode? Do you mean the bbcode in common forums such as PhpBB? The
extension http://us.php.net/bbcode ??

It doesn't seem to be included in released php versions. If you want
to parse bbcode, try pear package http://pecl.php.net/package/bbcode

Yeah that's the one I want. I downloaded it, and it's just basically C
and header files. Am I supposed to compile it myself into a .dll? I
don't know how to do that. If there's an easier way, that would be
helpful, but if not, can someone explain how to compile the files into
a .dll? I have Microsoft Visual C++ and I'm working on Windows XP, if
that's important.
