Installing MySQL module support

P: n/a
Hi,

I've gotten hold of a copy of SuSe Linux Enterprise Server 9, and I've
gotten rid of the default Apache 2.x and installed Apache 1.3.29, with
PHP 4.3.4, and I have installed MySQL 4.0.18 - *however*, apache/PHP
don't appear to have any MySQL functionality.

phpinfo() reports MYSQL_MODULE_TYPE is 'none', and the ./configure
section contains the text '--without-mysql'.

Is there an easy way to include MySQL integration without having to
recompile from source or am I going to have to recompile PHP and
Apache?

Thanks in advance,

AdamT
