Okay, I've worked with RedHat and Fedora, but does anybody know if suse
personal or suse pro comes with php/mysql? Or would I have to go with
suse enterprise server to get them?
Suse personal does not come with mysql/php but all of the files are on
ftp for anyone to download. If you get personal, which I've installed
in a handfull of places, you will have to set yast to use
ftp.suse.com. Once you do that you will be able to search in yast and
install it from there. You will have to do the same with apache. It's
really easy, but the httpd.conf file for apache has an error that you
have to fix (comment out one line).
I used redhat 7 through 9 and then I switched to suse instead of
fedora. It's better in some ways (it's installer will resize ntfs,
samba worked out of the box)
Post again or email me if you have any problems getting it to work.
