Hello Folks,

I just have a quick question for you !

I have a fedora box
The "website" is under /var/www/html/app2

I am developping an app where the data is not just at the place ut can
be
at /data/...

How can i reach it since if i do include "/" it will go only to /var/
www/html/ ?

Thanks for your help

I'm doing a lot of guessing since the information you provide is
incomplete and contradictory, but the only sensible explanation I can
think of for the behaviour you describe is that the webserver is
runing in a chroot jail - in which case you cannot access /data.

It "will"... Did you test ? If so, and you noticed this behaviour, as
Colin said you're likely to be in a chrooted jail, if not, just test it
without assuming :)

include accept both relative and absolute path so /data/ should work (if
you're not restricted).

Regards,

Are you trying to get it as a URL, i.e. http://example.com/data? Or are
you trying to include (or otherwise access the data) from a PHP file.

It's not clear.
