What does html do to php people anyway ?

It does - we generate HTML from the PHP code.

But Rik's comment was in related to your posting HTML in the newsgroup.
It's generally frowned upon. But as you didn't know, Rik just gave
you a gentle nudge with a smiley :P

Don't worry too much about it; now that you know, you won't make that
mistake again (unless you're like me and forget sometimes :P )

Hehe, yup. Did not see that for a while do, HTML in usenet. There used to
be a load every september, long, long ago. I shudder to think what will
happen if Google Groups should decide HTML on usenet is OK..... Thanks, I
gave myself a nightmare.

Just to clarify, he wasn't scolding you for posting HTML *code* to the
group; just that your *message* was HTML-formatted.

Feel free to post PHP/HTML source (although a URL is typically preferable).
